The Organisation
IFAP is an independent, not-for-profit, member-based organisation that has been providing leading safety and risk management solutions to the workplace for over 35 years. IFAP trains over 18,000 people a year and offers a wide range of training and consulting services throughout its five training centres and in-company anywhere in Australia and even overseas.
IFAP specialises in the following areas:

Registered Training Organisation
IFAP is a Registered Training Organisation (number 1907) through the WA Training Accreditation Council.
This status recognises IFAP's commitment to provide quality vocational education and training to industry and learners in Western Australia. Many qualifications issued by IFAP are nationally recognised in accordance with the national system of skills recognition.
Membership
Becoming a member of IFAP allows organisations and individuals to demonstrate their commitment to Occupational Safety and Health in the workplace. Membership provides an opportunity to support and encourage the OSH profession both in Australia, and on a global stage, as IFAP sits on the International Network of Safety and Health Practitioner Organisations (INSHPO).
Around 1,500 organisations and individuals are IFAP members, with this number increasing every year. Their support enables IFAP to continually improve its services and facilities.
Public Training

Training Centres
IFAP has 6 training centres in Australia with its first interstate centre - IFAP Darwin - opened in June 2006.

Most of IFAP’s courses can also be, and are, conducted on company premises anywhere in Australia and overseas. In-company training is often custom designed to suit the company’s individual training requirements.

IFAP provides a wide range of leading safety and risk management consulting solutions to all industries in Human Performance Improvement, Occupational Safety and Health, Workers' Compensation and Injury Management, , Sea Survival and Emergency Response (HUET), Construction and Equipment Skills and Fire Safety and Emergency Response.

National Conferences and Events
IFAP hosts various events throughout the year with a broad range of speakers to provide up-to-date information and address current topics in OSH. These events are open to members and non-members of IFAP. For more information please view our calendar of events.
Publications
IFAP publishes two magazines, SafetyWA, published bi-monthly, focuses on developments in safety and health that are particularly relevant to the Western Australian workforce.
IFAP Extra, published monthly, provides details of products and services available from IFAP.
Subscriptions of both publications are free to IFAP Members.
