2006 International Crisis and Emergency Management Conference
June 1-2
IFAP's International Crisis and Emergency Management Conference was attended by many national and international delegates in the emergency management field from middle to senior management on June 1-2.

2006 IFAP Emergency Response Games
June 3
BELMONT SES WINS THE CUP!!
In conjunction with the CEM Conference IFAP hosted its inaugural Emergency Response Games at Arena Joondalup on June 3. Six teams from the mining and state emergency response sectors went head to head competing in six emergency skills activities including: First Aid on the Run; Blind Driving; Hose Relay; Search; Toxic Barrel and Silent Tasking.
Belmont SES, otherwise known as 'The Super Human Initiatives', won the Skills Response Stream closely followed by IFAP Fremantle and Tom Price Pilbara Iron. The A Team (including members from the National University of Singapore) won the Tabletop Stream.
There was plenty of action on the day with FESA demonstrating a helicopter rescue during lunch.
