Richard Mehan Chief Executive Officer

Richard has a wealth of experience operating within the bulk resources sector, with over 30 years operating predominately within senior roles in the iron ore industry. He spent 15 years with Rio Tinto Iron Ore in a range of commercial roles including sales and marketing, business analysis and development and bulk shipping. Richard has held previous roles as Managing Director and CEO of Jupiter Mines Limited and CEO & Managing Director of Grange Resources Limited.


Jess Sethi Executive Manager - Corporate Services

Jess Sethi is the Executive Manger of Corporate Services at IFAP. She joined IFAP in 2011 and has worked in a Supervisory and Team Leader role before taking this new position. Prior to joining IFAP, Jess has worked with various training organisations including Perth Institute Western Australia, Cambridge International College and Melbourne Institute of Technology. She has a proven success in managing education and training in both vocational and higher education sectors. Her expertise lies in managing, registration and accreditation of VET and higher education programs. Over the past 5 years Jess has been involved in writing and reviewing training resources for financial services training package with Pearson Australia. She has worked as a lecturer with Federation University formally University of Ballarat delivering in Accounting and Finance subjects. Jess holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Masters Degree in Education and Commerce.


Mike Gillispie Executive Manager - Offshore and Maritime Training Centre

Mike is the Executive Manager for IFAP’s Offshore and Maritime Training Centre located in North Fremantle. He has worked for IFAP for more than 24 years and has a sound understanding of the daily operations of the business by beginning his IFAP career as a trainer and safety diver then eventually moving into a management role. During his time as manager Mike has acquired the qualifications of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as well as a Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management). Mike is the Australian representative to the International Association of Safety and Survival Training (IASST) and is also a long standing representative for IFAP to the Offshore Petroleum Industry’s Training Organisation (OPITO) Training Providers Advisory Group (TPAG), an industry body established to monitor and maintain training standards for the offshore oil and gas industry.



Sharleen Mann Executive Manager - Centre for Workplace Safety Solutions

Sharleen joined IFAP in July 2008 as Technical Specialist Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management after having been involved in OHS for 15 years in various roles within her career in the health and community care sector.  In 2012 Sharleen became the Manager Workplace Safety Solutions. Sharleen has a Masters of Business Leadership, Graduate Certificate Business Management, Cert IV Occupational Health and Safety, Cert IV Training and Assessment and NEBOSH International General Certificate.
