Since 2005 he has held senior management roles in organisations in the energy and oil and gas sectors based in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and the Netherlands. Matt has a strong background in strategy and tactical planning, risk management, regulatory compliance and partnerships.

    Mike Gillespie Executive Manager - Offshore and Maritime Training Centre

    Mike is the Executive Manager for IFAP’s Offshore and Maritime Training Centre located in North Fremantle. He has worked for IFAP for more than 24 years and has a sound understanding of the daily operations of the business by beginning his IFAP career as a trainer and safety diver then eventually moving into a management role. During his time as manager Mike has acquired the qualifications of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as well as a Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management). Mike is the Australian representative to the International Association of Safety and Survival Training (IASST) and is also a long standing representative for IFAP to the Offshore Petroleum Industry’s Training Organisation (OPITO) Training Providers Advisory Group (TPAG), an industry body established to monitor and maintain training standards for the offshore oil and gas industry.

Stephen has built a reputation as a Sales & Marketing Manager who can achieve strong sales outcomes and increases in market share in difficult economic climates. His ability to build relationships, with his stakeholders and clients, have contributed greatly to his successes, along with his endless enthusiasm and creativity.  Stephen spent the last 23 years in Sales and Marketing across both Media and the Hospitality industries. Stephen is a change advocate who believes, don’t wait for change, create the change.
