The course is delivered by SETS Enterprises Pty Ltd RTO 52334, this course has theoretical and practical components that participants must successfully complete.
On completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify alarms and emergencies
- Operate open circuit breathing apparatus
- Correctly deploy resources and equipment
- Report as site requirements dictate
- Use fire extinguishers
- Identify correct PPE
- Use fire hydrants and hose reels
- Conduct equipment checks
Successful completion of the assessment requirements, will provide participants with a statement of attainment issued by SETS (RTO Code 52334) for MSMWHS212 Undertake first response to fire incidents, MSMWHS216 Operate breathing apparatus and PMAWHS213 Undertake fire control and emergency rescue.
There are no pre-requisites for this course.
The national competency package for this subject requires that participants be clean shaven as per the requirements of AS 1715.
This course can be conducted at IFAP’s North Lake (WA) training facility or at any facility that has a suitable classroom and training area.
There is a maximum number of 12 participants per program.
