Overview
The course is delivered by SETS Enterprises Pty Ltd RTO 52334, the program covers all aspects of emergency preparedness, from understanding human behaviour characteristics during emergencies, to assessing risk and effectively planning for all types of emergencies within a workplace. This course has theoretical and practical components that participants must successfully complete.
Course Outcomes
On completion of this course, participants will have an understanding of:
- Warden duties and responsibilities
- ECO team selection and process
- Emergency procedures and policies
- Evacuation procedures and exercises
- Fire safety installations in a building
- Different types of emergencies
- Use of fire extinguishers
- Fire prevention
This program complies with Australian Standard AS 3745:2002 Emergency control organisation and procedures for buildings, structures and workplaces.

Successful completion of the assessment requirements will provide participants with a statement of attainment issued by SETS (RTO Code 52334) for PUAWER005B Operate as part of an emergency control organisation.
There is a maximum number of 12 participants per program.
This course is also available in a combined Warden Training / Fire Extinguisher one day course.
This course can be conducted at IFAP’s North Lake (WA) training facility or at any facility that has a suitable classroom and training area.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
