Overview
The aim of this course is to provide participants with a refresher of the knowledge and practical skills required to be able plan the work, conduct routine checks on the forklift, shift loads in a safe manner, and shut down and secure the equipment after completion of operations.

Course Outcomes
This unit is based on the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work and requires the operator to be able to:
- Plan the work
- Conduct routine checks of the forklift
- Shift loads in a safe manner
- Shutdown and secure the equipment after the completion of operations

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and can use the English language at a level that enables the safe performance of high risk as specified in the competency standards.
This course is for those wishing to update or undertake a refresher to safely operate a forklift truck. Therefore participants should have prior training.
Upon successful completion of the assessment requirements and being deemed competent, participants will be provided with a Statement of Attainment issued by IFAP (RTO Code 1907) for TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck.
Participants then need to apply to WorkSafe for a High Risk Work Licence (applicable fees and paperwork required)
