The course is designed for those who have minimal or no practical experience to safely operate a forklift truck in Perth. Experienced operators can attend a one-day theory and practical assessment.

Overview

The aim of this Perth-based course is to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills required under a Forklift Truck Operator ticket or licence. Regardless of your experience level, this forklift training course is set to equip you with the necessary information.

These resulting course outcomes include the ability to plan the work, conduct routine checks on the forklift, shift loads in a safe manner, and shut down and secure the equipment after completion of operations. With IFAP’s informative trainers and industry expertise, you will be able to receive your forklift truck operator ticket in Perth.

Course Outcomes

This unit is based on the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work and requires the operator to be able to:

  • Plan the work
  • Conduct routine checks of the forklift
  • Shift loads in a safe manner
  • Shut down and secure the equipment after the completion of operations

PREREQUISITES

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and can use the English language at a level that enables the safe performance of high risk as specified in the competency standards.

ON-COMPLETION

Upon successful completion of the assessment requirements and being deemed competent, participants will be provided with a Statement of Attainment issued by IFAP (RTO Code 1907) for TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck.

Participants then need to apply to WorkSafe for a High Risk Work Licence (applicable fees and paperwork required)

IFAP can process your High Risk Work Licence application for an extra fee of $132 (inc GST). This fee includes WorkSafe Fee, passport photos, postage, tracking and administration.
