Neville George

    Neville is the Principal Consultant at IFAP. He joined the IFAP team as an OSH Consultant in 2002 and by September 2005 was appointed to Operations Manager until May 2008. Neville moved back to the mining sector with an organisation that provided mechanical services before re-joining IFAP as a Principal Consultant in 2009.

    His experience in the mining and construction industries includes: OSH Management; HR and Industrial Relations, Training management, development and co-ordination, Safety management and co-ordination, Employee (industrial) Relations, Facilitation of team building/development; Facilitation of continuous improvement processes; and, Leadership program development and delivery in the construction industry.

    He has facilitated OSH training, development and practical application in Canada, Papua New Guinea, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and across Australia.

    An electrician by trade, he joined TAFE in 1980 as a lecturer followed by a five-year period as Senior Lecturer in Electrical Trades at the Fremantle campus. Neville’s qualifications include; NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety,
    Bachelor of Education, Diploma of Teaching, Diploma OSH, AS4801 Exemplar Global Lead Auditor Teacher’s Higher Certificate, WorkSafe Plan Assessor, Advanced Certificate of Electro Technology, Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and; an ‘A’ Grade Electrical Worker’s Licence.

    Neville’s major role at IFAP includes; provide high level consultancy services and provision of information focussing on improvement opportunities to clients, provides management support for major projects, auditing SMS and accident investigations and he enjoys delivering OSH training to all levels of personnel.

    Neville is published and has presented papers at conferences and breakfasts in USA – 2006 ASSE New Orleans, Philippines – 2012 APOSHO in Cebu, Indonesia – 2013 APOSHO in Jakarta, IFAP Alumni Breakfast – Perth 2012, he has also attended conferences in Canada and Thailand. Additionally he has presented and/or facilitated sessions to many corporate clients in OSH Continual Improvement opportunities.
